The Forest Green Rovers boss is reported to be moving to Peterborough, with neither club yet confirming the change.
Paul · CC BY 2.0Peterborough United are reported to have appointed Robbie Savage as their manager, bringing him in from Forest Green Rovers to succeed Luke Williams. The appointment was reported on 2 October, and it would put Savage in charge at Peterborough after his spell running Forest Green.
Savage has been the boss at Forest Green Rovers, and the change would move him out of that job and into the post he would take over from Luke Williams. One appointment therefore alters two clubs at once: Peterborough fill their manager's position, and Forest Green find themselves without the man who has been leading their team.
Neither Peterborough United nor Forest Green Rovers has made a public statement about the appointment, and Savage has not commented on it. Until one of the clubs speaks, the move rests on the reported agreement rather than on an official announcement.

Why the appointment matters at Peterborough
Locked Down Spectator · CC BY 3.0The significance is a matter of judgement rather than established fact. Peterborough have gone to a club that currently employs the manager they want, which ties the planning at two clubs together: Peterborough work towards a new manager's first week, while Forest Green have to decide how to replace him. Whether the choice is the right one will be settled by results that do not exist yet.
For Savage, the move would be a change of employer with no public indication of the terms attached to it. No length of contract has been reported, and no date has been given for him to start.

What happens next
The first step is confirmation from one of the clubs, and no date has been set for that. A first fixture in charge at Peterborough has not been identified, and Forest Green Rovers have not said how they will recruit a successor. Supporters of either club have nothing official to work from yet.
