Which fixtures Raphinha misses
Aniol · CC0Flick named Getafe and Galatasaray as the matches Raphinha will not be available for. The coach's remarks as reported dealt only with those two games, and Barcelona have not published a medical update of their own confirming the extent of the problem or a date for his return to training.
The reported 20 October return
Ank Kumar · CC BY-SA 4.0Raphinha's absence has been linked to Barcelona's meeting with Paris Saint-Germain on 20 October, with that match framed as a possible point of return. That date has not been confirmed by Barcelona, by Flick in the remarks reported here, or by the player. Until the club says otherwise, his availability for the Paris Saint-Germain fixture is uncertain rather than expected.
Why it matters for Barcelona
Losing a Brazil international removes one of the attacking options available to Flick at a point in the season when domestic and European fixtures arrive close together. Analysis: the practical question for Barcelona is whether the coach changes the shape of the side or fills the gap from within the existing squad. Flick has not said publicly which route he will take.
